Privacy Policy

Nutrika (“we”, “the service”) is an AI nutrition-tracking assistant that runs inside Telegram. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

To run the service we store: your Telegram user ID and name; the food, calories, and macros you log; your weight entries; profile details you provide (sex, age, height, activity, goals); and your conversation with the bot. We do not collect your phone number, contacts, or payment card details.

Health-related data

Some of this (weight, goals, diet information) may be considered health-related data under the GDPR. We process it only with your explicit consent, given when you start using the bot, and solely to provide calorie tracking and coaching to you.

How your food photos & messages are used

When you send a photo, voice note, or message, it is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to estimate nutrition or transcribe speech, under their data-processing terms. Telegram, as the platform, also processes your messages per its own privacy policy. We never sell your data or use it for advertising profiling.

Where data is stored

Your data is stored in a secured EU-region (Ireland) PostgreSQL database. Access is limited to operating the service.

Your rights

You can delete all of your data at any time by sending /delete to the bot — this permanently removes your profile, logs, weight history, and conversation. Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, correct, and export your data; contact us via the bot to exercise these.

AI & accuracy

Nutrika uses AI. Calorie and nutrient figures are estimates and may be inaccurate. It is a wellness tool, not a medical service.
